Go wild in the woods this May Half-Term holiday at Wildwood. We have plenty of FREE activities to entertain both adults and children including daily talks/feeds, meet an animal sessions, touchtables, animal mask making, bush crafts and our Wildwood Detective Trail with prize draw. We also have our menagerie of British wildlife from past and present, the new wolf enclosure and viewing area, a new kiosk for tasty snacks and beverages, the bear bridge and our exciting adventure playpark - all wrapped up in 40 acres of ancient woodland. We can't wait to see you!
Meet an animal Your chance to meet one of our cuddly, friendly critters including polecats, water voles, snakes, harvest mice and hedgehogs which will all be appearing regularly at one of our daily sessions. Ask at our admissions area for times on the day when you arrive.
Daily talks Find out more about the history and behaviour of our animals with engaging talks and feeds by our wildlife experts.
* We have an extended program of talks on the weekends, please ask for times on entry. All talks will take place at the animals' enclosures. Talks may be changed, please check the noticeboard on entry to the park.
Touchtables Get close to nature and interact with antlers, skulls, furs and other tactile animal artifacts at our touchtables.
'Wildwood Detective' trail One of our animals has escaped! Can your family figure out which animal is running amok around Wildwood? Look at the clues, fill out the trail card with the correct answer and then enter into our prize draw for a chance to win vouchers.
Bushcrafts Our resident woodsman, Steve Kirk, will be running FREE bushcraft activities throughout the park on 29th May and 2nd June. Find out how our ancestors interacted with nature, and learn how to hunt, cook and survive in ancient woodland.
How do you feed a zoo? Our animals' dietary needs are very different. We need to give our animals the best nutrition and also provide enrichment for the animals who would normally hunt for their food. See how we do it!
Animal mask making It only takes some paper, some colouring pens and some creative skills to create an animal mask.
