Don't miss your chance to adopt a unicorn today!

Wildwood animal adoptions last for a whole year and are the perfect Christmas gift for animal lovers of all ages.
Wildwood Trust

Make this Christmas magical
adopt a legendary Unicorn today!

ADOPT A UNICORN »

Our unicorn adoptions are only available for a limited time, and every purchase of one of these exclusive packs includes a soft toy.

More importantly, by adopting a unicorn, you will be helping the rest of our native British animals and woodland to provide the best conditions for the unicorn’s wellbeing. It may come as a complete surprise, but there has never been a confirmed sighting of a unicorn in the UK, although we are convinced that they will appear eventually to those who do believe!

Unicorns tend to prefer woodland, where they can live peacefully, which is why Wildwood is such an ideal habitat for them. We are unsure on the exact number of unicorns at Wildwood as they are such shy and elusive creatures, but it has been rumoured that there may have even been a recent unicorn birth in the park.

As part of your unicorn adoption pack, a plaque with your name on will be displayed at the area that is rumoured to be best for viewing our unicorns, for recognition of your unwavering belief in unicorns, despite one never truly being seen!

Time is running out to double your donation

You can help to save the red squirrels by making a donation today!

Time is running out... donate today to #SaveOurRedSquirrels

Donate today to save the Red Squirrels

Together we can make a difference!

The red squirrel is our only native squirrel species, now vastly outnumbered by the invasive grey squirrel. It has been extinct in Kent since the 1960s and without immediate conservation the species is expected to be completely wiped out in Britain by 2030. Your support will make the difference as to whether or not future generations will be able to see these adorable animals back in the wild.

But time is running out... and we only have until 12pm Tuesday 4th December to reach our target. All donations given through the Big Give Christmas Challenge will be DOUBLED, this means your gift will make twice the difference towards saving our red squirrels!

We need to raise £3,750 in donations to unlock the full amount of match funds available, making your support vital for us to save the red squirrels and to ensure this iconic British species doesn’t disappear from our countryside.

How can we just do nothing while witnessing the disappearance of one of this country’s most endearing species?”  Chris Packham

Wildwood has been leading the return of red squirrels back to the UK with important and successful release programmes across Anglesey and mainland Wales. This success has formed a buffer population of red squirrels, regaining lost ground. We have been successfully breeding red squirrels in captivity for over 15 years and send up to 10 juveniles every year for release.

To continue our efforts to rescue the red squirrel, we urgently need to expand our breeding facilities, renovate old enclosures and add more breeding pairs. It is also important that the squirrels receive an enriched diet, mimicking what they would feed on naturally in the wild. This will result in larger litters, and those being released having a head start as they are already adapted to the diet.

Your donation will help us to improve the captive breeding facilities at Wildwood and increase the amount of red squirrels we can release back into the wild.

Red squirrel numbers have been devastated over the past century and will continue to decline towards extinction unless urgent action is taken. We face the risk of this beautiful creature disappearing completely from our countryside and must act now to safeguard their future.
