You have helped raise over £11,500 to save South Hoath Wood and thanks to all of you, we will be able to pay the next instalment needed by the end of this month!   However, we do still need to raise more funds to make the final payment and complete the purchase next year. By helping us to purchase South Hoath Wood, you can help us save this woodland and protect the rare and threatened wildlife it supports.   Protecting this site will not only support Kent’s endangered wildlife, just as importantly, the local community will benefit too. Once the purchase is complete, our aim is to use these woods as a resource for people of all ages and abilities to learn about wildlife.   It is essential to help children and young people to discover the joy of learning in the outdoors through our award-winning education programmes and woodland ecology courses. Your donation will help us to train the next generation of wildlife conservationists as future guardians of our precious wild spaces.   DONATE NOW »     The cost of woodland across the UK has spiralled out of control due to terrible government policies. Mass privatisation, counterproductive tax breaks and subsidies have allowed greedy developers to push up prices, often beyond the ability of charities to protect places like this.   This means we needed to raise over £55,000 for the purchase over 5 years of our agreement.
